Sport Climbing Proficiency...
Spent my whole day today at Yishun Safra, for a sport climbing proficiency course, which took about 8 hours... It was an extremely fun & enjoyable experience for me, considering it was something new I tried... So thankful to my sweet hubby for his company as my belaying partner while I climbed, despite the fact he already had the level one certification in proficiency climbing...
It was easier said than done.... Found out first-hand that climbing those walls with small stones jutting out wasn't truly as easy as seen on TV... haha!! It was challenging, as you have to focus your mind on multiple things while climbing up - safety, balance, clear communication with your partner & planning which stones are best to utilise to hoist yourself upwards with lesser effort....
The most interesting aspect of this sport is your intellect plays a larger factor than your brawn, in determining whether you will succeed reaching the top of the wall... For a beginner like me to ascend halfway up the wall, is quite a feat ( that is, from my own point of view.. )
Will be looking forward to clock in more climbing sessions to polish up on our climbing skills, before signing up for the more advanced proficiency climbing course...
