Terminal 3...

He he he...luv!! Sorry for the delay for my side of the stories. Been quite a while since i blogged, and truthfully now i regret not punching in the prose in here, as i have to relearn and recreate the brain cells that have been lost. Shucks...

I was tasked to write on the recent trip to our very own, the newest addition to our already highly-acclained chain of terminals in Changi International Airport. Aviation has always been my other half of all the other halves of my life, so this piece is rightfully mine to write.

Changi International Airport has come a long way since its early days of its conception due to lack of space at Old Paya Lebar Airport and its official opening in July 1983.

My simple blog entry will not do any justice to all the firsts and accolades that Changi (WSSS) has earned over the years, but then again our visit to Terminal 3 re-enforced the fact that, in order for our economy to grow at at the comfortable rate of 7-8% anually, unemployement 2-3% and a manageble inflation rate,(ie. making every singaporean happy),one of our mainstay economic driver ie aviation services industry has to be the best in Asia and the region. And no, your eyes are not fooling you when you see increasing activity of trucks going in and out of Seletar, as Loyang is already filled to its brim in aircraft services MNCs.

So the next time you hear anyone frets about why the fuss to be number one, or why must we really need to spent billions of dollars on another look-good terminal to impress the world... well just tell them your jobs depend on it, mate...!!hehehe.... Look at those fancyful high-tech able-to-sense-no-light-give-some-more-light ceilings...!!!(Que:WOW...OOOHH Ahhh..!!!)

Here the design of cascading waterfall feature at one of the terminal's arrival gates, as seen from a level up, is not without prior thought. Yes, if the round circular orbital halo is not there, it represents a tombstone. Fenshui design roots, you got it.

How can the word D-E-P-A-R-T-U-R-E be any different?(except for being non-English).From here on is where the fun really starts for departing passengers, where they get to enjoy the other 60% of the terminal's best....hey best things in life aren't free hor....Sign!

There you have it....our trip to Terminal 3, with its ultra-modern looks and a whole lot of people and systems working together to make it all glitch free. Its a mammoth task to keep it running well-oiled, from getting bags delivered on time to toilets being literally spotless... Singapore's brand of being first, best and equally competitive if not better has triumphed again here... Why?? because the nation's ricebowl, and indeed yours and mine, depends on this Uniquely-Singapore 'obsession'.

Coming.. trade-pass look on the inaugral Singapore Airshow...!!!
