Family day out....
It's been awhile since I've really gone out with my family... I mean really with the whole family making time to present themselves for a day out together... Earlier today we went for a makeover and photoshoot amounting to 53 shots in various acts and poses...
It was really an enjoyable experience since the way we were suggested to pose were quite unique... unlike the conventional ones we took for my graduation photos which were more formal and boring... ( let's see... that was 2 years ago ) The theme chosen was Korean... because I feel uncomfortable wearing the dinner gowns with my headscarf...
It was supposed to be a complimentary photoshoot for only 2 pictures but we ended up buying all 53 shots taken of us since they were beautiful and unique...It was at Beach aJunction building, opposite Shaw Tower...
After the photoshoot we enjoyed lunch at a nearby restaurant serving 'Ayam Penyek' -a mouth-watering spicy delicacy originating from Indonesia....with full stomachs, I brought my whole family to experience riding in the glass elevator at the National Library up to the 14th floor and back down again... ( jolly well knowing my mother is afraid of heights )
You can actually feel a slight G-force when the elevator rises and descends & what really adds to the excitement is the bird's eye view of the scenery of the heart of the city.... we were screaming like kids all the way up and down!! haha!! It's a great experience to share with loved ones...
P.S. Hmmm... will bring my hubby to do it again one of these days...haha! ( he's also afraid of heights, especially in glass compartments...)
Quote of the day : Take time to enjoy the simplest things in life...
