Nothing beats a cup of coffee....
Which is about what I normally do with my dearest hubby... We will set aside time each week just to sit down in a nice place to read a book and share a large cup of hot cappucino... No amount of shopping or leisure activities we do together can beat that... It's the most relaxing activity we look forward to do together, sharing our personal time & space together.... such a timeless experience... :)
Which reminds me of a book I just completed reading... entitled, 'How Starbucks Saved My Life : A Son of Privilege Learns To Live Like Everyone Else' by Michael Gates Gill... it's such an inspiring book that I felt like joining Starbucks as a manager right away...haha
This well-educated author used to have it all... but consistently failed to set aside time to savour & appreciate the sweet things in life, until he lost it all.... health, career, family and friends...
Surprisingly, he managed to seek solace in the company of a lower class population - ( majorly from the African American group : people he used to scorn and look down upon...) when he joined Starbucks as a barista, just like the rest of them, yet they turned out to be the same people who taught him to appreciate and enjoy life as it is...
Quote of the day : 'It's never too late for anything in life'
